Call to Action.

PNGAAA seeks all ex-scholars having studied in an Australian educational institution through scholarship or by self-sponsor to have your organisation participate at the 2012 Annual Dinner.

We have 160 fellow Papua New Guineans who have won a scholarship to study in various educational institutions in Australia and New Zealand from 2013 attending so come on over and let us cheer them on.

The PNG Australia Alumni Association cordially invites your organisation, to participate at our Annual Charity Dinner; the purpose of which is as follows:

 1.
Showcasing AusAID & NZAID Scholarships;
 2.
Lifting the Profile of the PNG Australia Alumni Association;
 3.
Professional Networking amongst Alumni members, diplomatic corps, industry leaders and government;
 4.
Fundraising for sustainable community projects or activities.

By way of background, the PNGAAA incorporated in 2006, is made up of PNG graduates from Australian educational institutions as AusAID scholarship holders or as privately sponsored students. The objectives of the Association are:

 (a)
To cultivate and strengthen Alumni leadership;
 (b)
To provide a forum for active participation by members in the discussion of development issues affecting PNG and proposing alternate solutions;
 (c)
To enhance and strengthen the mutual PNG – Australia relationship; 
 (d)
To create an environment of sustainability and viability of the Alumni by;
 
 (i)
Improving governance and service to Alumni members; 
 (ii)
Enhancing and maintaining a professional relationship with and amongst awardees, graduates and Australian institutions;
 (iii)
Fundraising to support meaningful community projects
