Solomon Islands – ‘Powerless’: James & Melody’s story

The Solomon Islands, in the heart of the Pacific, relies on expensive imported fuel for nearly 100% of its electricity. It has some of the highest energy costs in the world, and one of the lowest rates of connection in the world; just 9% of Solomon Islanders are connected to the electricity grid. This is the story of Melody and James, who live in Honiara, the Solomon Islands capital.
